In order for us to be able to make the correct match we like to meet you in person. During that initial meeting we shall analyse your question. Then we shall check which one of our available coaches suits you and your question after which we shall arrange a – no strings attached – meeting. But it may also happen that you feel a ‘click’ with the person who holds the initial conversation with you. You are not required to make the go/nogo decision until after the extensive introductory meeting with the proposed coach.
Adolescents (from circa 14 years old) may also apply to Guiver Freeman for coaching.
Individual coaching
One of the things I learned in negotiating was that I could nog change other people until after I had changed myself. (Nelson Mandela)
A course of coaching usually goes as follows.
1. Introduction / Intake – always without obligations and at no charge.
2. If there is a click: a clear contract based on the client’s needs.
3. A solution oriented approach, no long and detailed chewing on ‘where it all went wrong’.
4. Regular evalution of the progress, based on the contract.
An average course consists of four or five sessions – a total of eight to ten hours.
The meetings of one to one and a half hours take place in a quiet place, at the Guiver Freeman office or somewhere else. Each meeting ends formally, sometimes the coachee will get ‘homework’ to do. The client is asked to write a short commentary of the meeting.
‘Tools and instruments’ that may be used in the coaching: several profiling methods, depending on the (nature of the) question, a variety of games, tests and exercises.

Team coaching
Coming together is a start. Staying together is progress. Working together is success. (Henry Ford)
Most coaching is done in one-on-one meetings. Sometimes there is a need for the coaching of a team. In such cases there are often (latent) conflicts, unsatisfactory cooperation or a necessary change to deal with. But team coaching is especially also effective when a new team is to be formed quickly, for instance after a merger or takeover.
Mediation
Don’t fear resistance. Don’t forget that a kite takes off against the wind. (Hamilton Mabie)
Mediation is a kind of conflict management where an independent, neutral, third party – the mediator – assists the parties in exploring their real interests and coming to a joint and for each party optimum solution of their conflict. (definition: Dutch Ministry of Justice)
In the case of really far reaching conflicts, Guiver Freeman can supply accredited mediators from her network.
