Business advice – Business coaching

What does a business coach do?
A business coach is a real coach like you know them in sports. A sports coach motivates an athlete to optimum results, supports him when he has worked really hard and teaches the athlete to do things that the competition doesn’t expect. The coach gets the athlete to run more miles than he really feels like. The coach tells him the truth. And he listens.

A business coach coaches you to improve your business by means of counsel, support and encouragement. He assists you, the owner of a small or medium sized company in the structuring and management of your organisation, in the optimalisation of your production and logistics, your marketing and Sales, your human resources, your financial management and so on. Just like a sports coach does for athletes, the business coach makes sure that you can focus entirely on your company.
A business coach is no luxury. A coach has become a necessity for many businessmen. The coach helps them find enough time and energy for the essential changes and innovation as well as the much-needed recreation. The business coach will act as their marketing manager one day, as their sales director the next and then again as the company trainer. But above all, he is the trusted confidant and mentor who helps them make their dreams come true.

The Guiver Freeman business coaches with their many years of experience offer valuable insights and help you to develop both short and long term objectives and strategies. They may also see opportunities for the development or improvement of your business that you had not yet noticed.

Why should you bring in a business coach?

  1. You work far too many hours and daren’t go on holiday for fear that the whole thing will collapse.

  2. Your income doesn’t compensate for the efforts, the risks and the investments you put into your business. This needs to change! You feel a lot more profit should be possible.

  3. You always need to do everything yourself. You need a team of good people who keep your business going, even when you are not there.

  4. You have lost interest. Your vision and the passion with which you started the business are gone.

  5. You realise that you need to develop your knowledge and skills to grow the business, but how can you do that and where will you find the time?

  6. You feel alone, you need a sounding board, a mentor, someone to talk to, someone who calls you to account and asks after profits and results, someone who pushes you that bit farther, encourages you and hopefully praises you just a bit more often for a job well done.

  7. You need someone who helps you to see the wood for the trees again, an independent external person who is not blinded by the sector or by being accustomed to your way of working.

But I already have an …
adviser, … an accountant, … a solicitor. What would a coach add?

Perhaps the biggest difference with all the others that advise or support you at the moment from their specialised backgrounds, is the fact that a business coach is a true generalist who enjoys working together with al those specialists. And who has access to excellent specialists, too, should you need one in a different discipline than you have already got.

Our business coaches continue to learn and to study the latest developments. They are also happy to transfer their up to date knowledge to you. They work with you like genuine team players.

Perhaps the most important fact about our business coaches is that they have their feet firmly on the ground – if necessary in the mud, right next to you – and that they definitely deliver added value through their practical advice and support!
